The Face of Hunger

THE VISION OF THREE SQUARE FOOD BANK IS SIMPLE: No one in our community should be hungry. By bringing together the resources, experience and passion of the people and businesses of Southern Nevada, we can make sure no one has to. When we work together, we don’t just serve food. We serve hope.

One in six Southern Nevadans struggle with hunger – that’s more than 340,000 people in our community who are food insecure.

In the 2012-13 school year, nearly 57% of Clark County School District students were enrolled in free or reduced-price meal programs.

Three Square distributed more than 24.5 million pounds of food and grocery product, in 2012. This is the equivalent of 18.8 million meals.

Senior Share provides seniors with chronic conditions a supplemental box of groceries twice a month. More than 17,000 Senior Share boxes were distributed in 2012.

For every dollar donated, Three Square can provide up to three meals. 93 cents of every dollar goes directly to getting food to people in need.
